Adeline’s Resthouse

Selected as the main feature of the reception area and dining hall, Adeline’s Resthouse uses bamboo for its local flavour, economical values, and the availability of skilled labour within the native community.
Year of Project: 2018

Location: Gopeng, Perak
Client: Rumah Rehat Adeline Sdn Bhd

Bamboo was selected as the main feature of the reception area and dining hall due to its local flavour, its economical values, as well as the availability of skilled labour within the native community. The portico over the driveway next to the reception was installed using mild steel frames with two-inch thick bamboo, while the screen along the perimeter of the dining hall employed the more traditional fishmouth joinery.
